“The greatest threat to our planet is the belief that someone else will save it.”
Whenever I get some down feelings hunting my heart, I try to go outside and enjoy some fresh air in nature. The mountains, the beach, the trees, the grass, the birds, the waves and the musical silence amazingly fill my soul with so much peace and calm that no bad thought could break. I love how healing earth is and can't imagine that such a blessing may not be available for my kids and grandkids in the future. Yes, despite how much we say we love our home EARTH, we aren't doing a great job preserving it for the next generations. We litter, we waste, we send harmful gasses into the atmosphere, we cut down trees, we kill animals, we dump waste into the ocean and we use plastic nonstop. The earth is dying slowly due to our thoughtless activities and because there's definitely no Planet B, it's time for us to make the change:
First step: RECYCLE 😉
Before you throw anything in the bin ask yourself the most important question: Can I make anything out of this?
Usually the answer to the above question is a big YES!! Paper, cardboard, glass jars, juice and milk cartons, plastic bottles, cans, batteries, toys, clothes ...... and the list goes on and on. Anything with creativity can be recycled.
During the past 5 years I've been practicing recycling in my lifestyle as much as possible. Here's some projects you can do and save the earth a little more:
Recycled Cardboard and Canvas frame:

You don't need professional equipments to make a cute wall art to remind you of how little your kids once were. All you need is a cardboard, a ruined Canvas' frame (art fail 🤪) and some markers. Use your creative imagination and put together a one of a kind piece ✌🏻.
Recycled Corn flakes box:

This drawer was a complete mess! No matter how hard I tried, nothing seemed to work. The organizer I had was so small and so with a cornflakes box I was about to throw away and some waterproof paper I managed to make my own organizer. It's not super fancy but it does the job 👌.
Upcycled/ Recycled clothes:
I love sewing and when I find an old piece of clothing that can be upcycled into a new one, I never waste the chance. I mostly sew dresses but you can absolutely do many other things: bibs, pillowcases, rompers...etc.
Recycled shoe box:

I wanted to make a DIY door sign for my little princess's room and all I had was a shoe box 😊. The name is missing an E but it's still looking cute right??? This was back in 2015 and this sign is still living strong up to this date 💪🏻.
Make sure you recycle because this EARTH need the change today. Tag #twgmamas on your recycled projects to be featured.

I love these ideas. The sign for the door is great. My kids love making all sorts of things with old cereal boxes and any cardboard really :D Thanks for sharing!
